ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS

Brief Description of Activities performed : 

The main object of the Department is the development of the Rural area   through Panchayati Raj Bodies.  

A. The activities are given in a nut shell : - 

i)       Works of Panchayat Election

ii)       Training of Panchayat Members of  all the three tires.

iii)       Inspection under section of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973 and supervision if work of Gram  Panchayats. Audit and statutory matters, distribution of Grants in-aid etc.

iv)       Function as appellate authority in respect of Gram Panchayat Tax Collection, disqualification Members of Panchayat U/S213(A) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973 etc.

v)        Panchayat matters under 3 tire of PR Bodies, different schemes like NSAP, PROFLAL, 11^TH Finance, Untied Fund

vi)       Matters related to SSK and MSK

vii)      Matters related to SRD.

viii)    Matters related to establishment matter of RD(CD) set up / R.W.P. setup like appointment promotion, transfer & posting, sub-allotment of head of A/C 2515, 2505-RWP etc., Misc court case thereof. 

ix)       Matters related to recruitment (1) Panchayat clerk & Panchayt Peon including posting & transfer etc. (2) Panchayat setup
